During her senior year of high school, Jessica received the Alamo Promise scholarship to pursue her postsecondary education. Life got in the way, and she stopped attending college. Our Re-Engagement team at Palo Alto College reached out to Jessica to explore ways to reconnect her with the college. Jessica thought that because she had stopped attending school, she could no longer use her scholarship, but Donna and Celeste let her know that wasn’t the case. With their help, Jessica successfully re-enrolled at Palo Alto College, and Donna and Celeste were able to provide additional resources, such as food and bill assistance, to ensure she graduated with ease. Jessica is studying Biology and plans to focus on environmental protection.
