Shelly is the Training and Education Manager at Communities In Schools of San Antonio. She has worked for CIS-SA for over 13 years. She is a Licensed Master of Social Work that has worked in the field for over 20 years. She has training in Mindfulness, Trauma Informed Care, is a Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) and Youth Aware of Mental Health (YAM) Instructor and is a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner through the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at Texas Christian University. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Theatre.

Sabrina Donatto is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has served with Communities In Schools for 6 years. She was a Site Coordinator in Northeast ISD, a social worker in the SEEDS program and currently a field manager in SAISD. Sabrina has experience with children & families, domestic violence, and homeless populations. She believes in educating others and bringing awareness regarding vulnerable populations, especially youth.

Youth Mental Health First Aid

Youth Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training that teaches parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors and health and human services workers and any other citizen how to identify, understand and respond to an adolescent (ages 12-18) who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. 2 hours of pre work are required. CEU’s are included upon request.
