Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI): Overview
Are you a parent, educator, or youth development professional looking to grow from Trauma-Informed to providing Trauma-Informed Care but haven’t learned the skills or tactics involved? In this overview you will learn about the 3 principles of TBRI: empowering, connecting, and correcting. These 3 principles are powerful tools to help a child or youth get back on the right developmental track and disarm fear-based behaviors like hitting, kicking, talking back, withdrawing, throwing things or tantrums. An evidence-based practice, TBRI gives caregivers tools to improve relationships and empower the children and youth in their care. This course is for adults working or living with children and/or youth. This course is taught by a TBRI Practitioner trained through the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at Texas Christian University.
