Help us show up for more kids…because being present matters!

There are many reasons that prevent students from regularly attending school ranging from transportation, mental or physical health, access to clean clothes, or food insecurity. CIS site coordinators are physically present inside schools, working hand-in hand with administrators and families to provide essential resources for student success.

Make a Difference at Work

Workplace giving is an easy and powerful way to support CISSA’s mission—right from your paycheck. Many employers offer workplace giving programs that allow you to make automatic donations, match your gifts, or even give through payroll deductions. Your support allow CIS-SA to provide wraparound services to underserved students, empowering them stay in school and achieve in life.

How to Get Started
1. Check with Your HR Department

Ask your employer if they offer a workplace giving or matching gift program.

2. Complete the Form

Fill out any forms your company requires. You may need our EIN (Employer Identification Number): Our EIN is 74-2393714.

3. Make Your Gift Go Further

Submit a matching gift request if available—many employers will match donations dollar-for-dollar. See “Double Your Impact” section below.

4. Let Us Know!

Email us at give@cissa.org once you’ve submitted the form so we can thank you properly and keep you informed on your impact.

Donating stocks or mutual funds is a tax-smart way to support CISSA’s mission and students in a big way. You may avoid capital gains taxes and receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the asset.

How to Donate Stock
1. Contact Your Broker

Instruct them to transfer the shares to CIS-SA. You’ll need the following information:

  • Brokerage: National Financial Services Co.
  • DTC Number: 226
  • Account Number: F/C 037-502707
  • Account Name: FBO Communities In Schools (CIS of San Antonio)
  • EIN: 74-2393714
2. Let Us Know

Once the stock transfer is initiated, email give@cissa.org with the donor name, stock name, and number of shares. This helps us issue an accurate tax receipt.
