Pre-college Preparation (TRiO) |
Currently, CIS-SA has two TRiO programs: These programs provide pre-college preparation through a myriad of activities and ongoing support. TRiO programs are funded under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, and focus on helping students from
low-income families in which neither parent graduated from college. Both programs provide: - College Tours
- Workshops
Financial, college admissions, SAT/ACT, scholarships
- Community Service Projects
Elf Louise, Adopt-A-Highway
- Assisted Computer Labs
Complete financial aid and college applications online, college and career exploration
- Parent Workshops
Financial aid opportunities
- Academic Enrichment Program (Saturdays)
Students take math, reading and sciences classes and participate in college/career enrichment activities.
